Kraze Bot Server Updated Gamespy Now Working For Kingpin Another New Deathmatch Map Available Two New Items Added GameSpy Not Working For Kingpin Again The Stuff That Was Left Out Of Kinpin

I have changed the map rotation in the KP4EVER'S Kraze BoT Custom Maps Server. Its now running:-

Fear Factory
Bloody187 v2
Central 2RS
Look Back In Anger
Crates In The Hood
Rampage
In The Cold Light Of Day

I have made Central 2RS the default map.

Kingpin servers are now showing up in Gamespy again.
It seems this problem is going to happen from time to time so I suggest you make all the servers Favourites because they will then show up even when this problem occurs.

Central 2RS by Stigma

Stigma has released a new DM map called Central 2RS.
Central 2RS is a small deathmatch map for Kingpin. It is in the urban style, has two levels, and is set in a few small rooms inside a building. There are two rooms on the upper level and one lower level area. There are one of every weapon except there is no flamer and there are two tommy guns.
The map has 10 player spawns, uses all standard kingpin textures and features a downloadable custom sky.

Fredz has sent in two more items.

Kingpin French Sounds These are all the sounds from the French version of the game.

Polish Wlakthrough As the name suggests it's a walkthrough of the game in Polish in Pdf format.

Looks Like once again Gamespy is not showing any Kingpin servers (other than the ones you have selected as favourites).

Until the problem is resolved you can try another server browser such as QTracker which you can download from here.

Fredz has outdone himself this time and created a webpage that highlights all the stuff that was left out of the final version of Kingpin that as released back in 1999.
It includes things like weapons, weapon mods, armour, maps, skins, NPC's, buildings, bits of trivia about the game etc.

It's a really interesting read and while some of this info has been available at various places aound the net here it is all in one place for the first time.

Btw, he has also put together a tutorial on how to compile mods under Linux which is great news for any moders out there.

Fredz has sent in a link to a Kingpin MDX Importer. This is a Gmax script for importing Kingpin .MDX model files written by TiCaL. You can get more info here and the zipfile includes a readme which explains how to install it and how to use it.
I understand thsi can be used to both import and export .MDX models to and from Kingpin.

Blade2 2010 updated by Mr Damage

Blade2 2010 is a medium/large sized, urban style, DM map for Kingpin. It is an update/reworking of a map that Cujo converted to Kingpin in 2001. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the original author of the map.
It has several different levels, lots of open outdoor areas, a basement area, corridors and tunnels connecting the different areas and a few indoor rooms as well.
It uses all standard KP textures except for two. There are fourteen player spawns and there are more than enough weapons, armour and other items.

I have made this map the default map on our Kingpin Legacy Server for a while so you can download the map and check it out there.

Here are some screenshots of a new deathmatch map I am working on. It is a update/reworking of a very old map that Cujo converted back in 2001 which he called DM Blade2.

I just need to finish the lighting, fix a HoM error, do some minor tweaking and then it should be ready.

Thanks to Fredz we now have the latest RioTZ server files for both Windows and Linux and also the RioTZ v3.1 Source code.
