After 8 months we now have 202 members in our group, apart from the people who play KP but are not on FB. So far there are about 35 to 45 active players playing KP again and we still see new faces on the servers. It's pretty amazing for such an old shooter and even more amazing that there are still a lot of people working on new maps and mods etc.

Soon Zod and I will announce some events. For those events we need a website in the style of the old KPLC site. Who knows of a good clan site or is willing to make such a site for us?

Also we like to know who are up for events/leagues and who are willing to assist as admins.

DirtyDog has now finished uploading his complete hires walkthrough videos for Kingpin.
There are seventeen videos for the walkthrough plus an eighteenth video that contains some secrets he missed in the wharf levels.
These are 1080p widescreen hi res videos and will be a great help if you are stuck In the single player game.

Captain Death has posted some news about his upcoming new engine for Kingpin. No screenshots this time but info about some new features.

I have updated the old deathmatch map Gothic Revenge.
We have been playing this map a bit lately and Zod pointed out that it only had four player spawns. Tha's not nearly enough so when I finally got some free time I decided to overhaul the map and give it a lot more spawns.

Gothic Revenge was originally made for Quake2 by Renegade. It's a typical Quake2 style map thatis medium sized.
It was then converted to Kingpin and, if you know the map you will remember that, all the original Quake2 textures were retained.

For the remake I used all stock Kingpin textures (mainly from KPDM2) and standard sky, changed the weapon and item placement, increased the player spawns to fourteen, did some very minor structural changes and added some boxes.

Hypov8 also helped with the map and his input made it a better map :)

The Chrome skins give all weapons a reflective/mirror like texture which were made by [GT]*KNIGHT*.

Yakumo let me know he is working on a new map for Kingpin so I thought it was a good opportunity to post about his first map Team Yakumo.

Team Yakumo is a smallish Bagman map in the two forts style. It uses mostly custom textures and you'll feel at home in this map from the first time you play it.

Back in the day Dread created some skins for the armour so that it would match the colour that would appear in your HUD when you pick it up. In other words, yellow for light armour and green for heavy armour.

You can download the HUD coloured armour skins from here.

The armour skins are in a pak2 file which has been zipped. The zip file is set up so you only have to extract the pak2 file to your kingpin directory and it will place it in your kingpin/main folder where it belongs.

If you already have a pak2 file in your kingpin/main then extract the new pak2 to a temp folder somewhere, rename it to a number you don't already have such as pak3, pak4 etc (up to pak9) then copy it to your kingpin/main folder.

Rampage is a retextured version of my Frag'n'Die4 map. It has a Redneck Rampage theme.

When ever it comes on in a server I see a lot of ppl downloading it from the server.
It's much better if you download it from us as it has many custom sounds which help to give it a Redneck Rampage feel.

For those of you who don't know the map it is a smallish deathmatch map with a large courtyard area, three small rooms and ladders that give you access to the upper ledges.
As stated above it uses mostly custom Redneck Rampage textures and also includes sounds and a sample from one of the soundtrack songs.

This Friday night 29th March there will be an Easter game of Hitmen in the KP4Ever - Da PlayGroundZ! ~ Hitmen Mod server starting at 10pm GMT.

Zod will again be there to get the game going and to hand out the Easter Eggs lol :)

Way back in January of 2002 Truzenzuzex[BC] created an eleven part skin pack that contained all known thug skins that had been released up to that point.
There are 3293 skin pieces, approximately 256meg uncompressed, delivered to you in 11 files, 9megs per file chunk.
