Welcome
Welcome to Thugs Theories on Good Fragging. This site dedicated to sharing and consolidating the skills of Multiplayer KingPin. Here you will find hints, tips and tricks for every aspect of the game. My name is Zoltrix{GFC}. You could call me one of the original Kingpiners. Having played the game since its release, I feel I have some good information to share. But not all information will come from me. To get the best possible information I have consulted the most hardcore players of the game and asked them to share the hits and tips on the things they are most well known for. This site was designed with the new players of the game in mind, to help them pick up the skills as quickly as possible to be competitive. But even some of the veterans might be able to learn a few new tricks. Welcome to the unofficial guide to the game of KingPin.

Thankyou All!

What is he talking about?
For those people that have no idea what KingPin is and what I am talking about, I will provide some explanation. KingPin is know as a First Person Shooter (FPS) style of game. Examples of such games are; Quake, Unreal and Half-Life. This site is dedicated to the multiplayer side of KingPin. Which is playing the game over the internet against people from all over the world.
What is it about the FPS games such as KingPin, Unreal, etc. that draws so many people into playing them with such intensity? These games have created such a stir in the multi-player gaming world that people have made it their full time job’s to enhance the pleasure of the game even more! One of the largest reasons for the popularity of these games is the very fact that they are played from a first person perspective instead of the third person perspective like many of the games have been in the past. Playing from the first person perspective brings more skill into the game than has been seen in the past. It isn’t what items one buy’s and collects throughout the game that decides who will do better, rather it is the players instincts and reflexes and amount of time spent practicing the game that decides the outcome!
This fact alone is what draws many people into the community of FPS gaming! When a person joins a game they are pitting their skills against other real people, people they know are sitting in some other room doing their utmost to "kill" them before they are killed first! Because of this aspect to the game it can become very emotional when a game is in progress. To be beaten by other humans is for some reason more of an insult to ones skills than losing to a computer controlled player, just as winning and beating others is more of a boost to ones ego than beating the computer.
The FPS game style has created a subculture of its own, a subculture that has created its own language and online empire! When a serious player of FPS games stops playing the actual game for the day it does not mean he is "done" with the game. Rather that same person signs on to an IRC channel and talks about the game and other topics with his or her peers. If not on IRC or ICQ, posting messages and ideas on many related forums is another way to stay with the game.
Playing a game through the "eyes" of a player is a different feeling than any third person game can offer, one will find themselves jumping in their seat as they are SHOT from behind or as they smack headlong into an enemy coming around the corner! It is this on the edge of your seat action that draws so many people to the games we play. Rivalries and alliances are made between clans that fight to see who is the best. Each dedicated player has a playing name and playing style that they jealously protect as their own! All of these things are aspects of the FPS games that make up a community of people who because of their communal interest make the game even better!
